Langkawi is a popular tax-free island off the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It attracts many tourists each year, and is home to some of Malaysia’s most luxurious hotel properties. It has attracted a number of people who have moved to Malaysia under the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme. An enterprising Australian expat and his German wife (who both have MM2H visas) have developed a scenic plot of land in Langkawi and are building four beautiful villas on them. They have already sold two and are looking to sell the remaining two.
There is one two-bedroom and one three-bedroom villa available and they would make an excellent retirement home or a holiday villa. These are near-turnkey properties and represent a very good investment opportunity, if that’s desired. The developers can arrange to rent the villas out (and provide management) during the time when owners are not in residence if the owners do not wish to move there permanently.
